The Hub has worked extensively with GP Access Fund pilot schemes, achieving significant financial savings and accelerated deployment and currently provides a service to support local digital procurement being delivered under the Estates and Technology Transformation Fund (ETTF). This session will cover the setup of the Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) established to support the £45M Online Consultations initiative.

GPIT ‘The Future’: Building a Platform to innovate & purchase clinical systems

The organisational and operational structures of Primary Care and the NHS are fluent and complex; this complexity is only set to increase over the medium term as new care models set themselves up operationally. Primary Care IT needs to develop and innovate to accommodate the pace of change. In support of this difficult challenge, the NHS Digital GPIT Futures programmes in partner with the GP Profession and wider care services are developing towards a new way of supporting clinical digital system provision. At the heart of this work is Innovation, agile delivery in a commercial environment and a vision of a digital system marketplace and framework that supports real time evaluation of clinical & non clinical digital systems. The session will touch on the core commercial principles defining the programme objectives and demonstrate the GPIT digital marketplace to show how the right platform can help purchasers understand their digital needs and translate those needs into outcomes.
