Due to the pandemic, 2021 is our first live event since 2019 and we are thrilled to be able to welcome you to the Exhibition Centre in Harrogate. Our aim is to celebrate the significant changes our organisation has seen over the past 61 years and highlight some of the amazing work that took place during the pandemic which will continue to influence the future of the NHS.
Our theme for this year’s conference, “Recognising the Value of NHS Procurement” is aimed at highlighting the significant changes the HCSA has recognised over recent months and years to become the organisation we are today. We will celebrate the success of our NHS colleagues and reflect on the changes our profession has seen while showcasing some of the key achievements delivered and looking forward to how we can develop even stronger ties with our wider NHS colleagues, clinicians, suppliers, industry specialists, and cross-government bodies.
As we are all too well-aware, Covid-19 has changed all our lives significantly over recent months and continues to do so. We have seen some extreme lows and heard of many sad losses. We have witnessed true collaboration and comradery and formed strong bonds with many departments, suppliers, and organisations. We have seen our teams work tirelessly to support our front-line staff to keep each other and patients safe. Without the unwavering support of all those aforementioned and involved across the NHS and wider public sector some of us would have struggled more than we did.
How very fitting it is then that our venue for the HCSA winter conference, the Harrogate Exhibition Centre, was transformed into a Nightingale Hospital along with other large conference venues across the country.
Through ground-breaking technology, the conference will be delivered as a live, interactive experience while continuing to bring together a wealth of key decision-makers and leading suppliers from across the UK’s health procurement community.
Taking place live on 24 & 25 November, this innovative event will feature a range of product showcases and collaborative networking and skills development opportunities designed specifically to enhance knowledge, collaboration and opportunity.
Our annual HCSA Awards Ceremony will be presented during the Gala Dinner event on the evening of the 25 November, showcasing submissions and announcing Highly Commended and Winners on the day – a must-see event where we try to recognise all those nominated and celebrate their success.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as are able at the event and hope you will take this opportunity to once again meet face to face and network with colleagues from across the NHS and supplier community.
